Hawaii's plein air artist, Ronaldo Macedo is "Living the Life. He lives on Maui in this great little town of Lahaina. Most days he paints until he tires, then surfs, goes fishing or sailing. Toss in a wife and two touring surf kids and you are "Living the Life!", but make no mistake, he is one of the most collected and respected painters of Hawaii and California alive today.

Steve Turnbull at Friday Art Night
MAUI - Lahaina, Maui, HI
Steve Turnbull chose Maui as his home in the early 1980's. Selling his first sculpture at the age of 19 changed his course in life to pursue his dream as an artist. After Steve completed his BA at the University of Washington in Seattle, he moved to the rugged West Maui Mountains where he made his home and studio with his family. He sculpts exotic wood, stone and bronze to create abstract sculptures that represent the moving tides, the warm tropical breezes or the elegant curve and twists of a giraffe. His free flowing organic shapes in which he captures the beauty within the medium are known to transform a room. He has been represented by Lahaina Galleries for over 20 years and his work can be seen at the Andaz Hotel, Neiman Marcus on Honolulu and several public and private places throughout the world.

Roy Tabora at Friday Art Night
MAUI - Lahaina, Maui, HI
Artist, Roy Tabora will set up an easel and paint while meeting the public at Lahaina Galleries on 736 Front Street from 6:30 to 9:30 for "Friday Night Is Art Night in Lahaina!"
The splendor of Hawaii's tropical shores is a constant source of Tabora's inspiration. Yet in his creative process, he relies even more on his heart than he does on his eye. "I romanticize," he says. "The scenes I portray are memories I have imagined...memories of when the footprints of men were not so prolific and deep. Nature alone is the subject of my work. Its allure is exquisitely pure. That's what I wish to convey. I see Hawaii's land and sea the essence of beauty itself. It reaches to me with a richness of emotion that I simply must express."
"I love to come to Lahaina on Art Night. There a great ambiance for dining and strolling through the galleries on these Fridays. This has been going on for over 30 years and Lahaina Galleries has been a strong presence for over 40 years." Roy Tabora
